Flavours magazine is Western Canada’s most authoritative source of information about the region’s food and drink as well as the people who produce them. Flavours features engaging storytelling, mouth-watering visuals and useful information, including irresistible recipes for cooks of all levels of expertise.
Calypso Design is responsible for the art direction, design and production management of the quarterly publication. Wearing these hats involves such tasks as brainstorming on photo requirements, hiring some of the best food photographers and stylists in the country to capture dishes made by famous chefs (or humble home cooks!) while working alongside a talented editorial and sales team. It also is Calypso’s responsibility to paginate and design the magazine on time, stay on budget while making sure that every features looks as great as the dishes they showcase.
